Aims

Portsmouth Neighbourhood Watch is a self-help scheme which tries to deter crime, encourage community spirit and improve Police and public communications. It will not stop crime but is a powerful deterrent.

We can all deter crime by better house security, Neighbourhood Watch road sign, window stickers and general vigilance resulting in making our property a harder target.

Our objectives are:

1. Working with other organisations (partnership working) in the city.
2. Work closely with the police especially the PCSO's
3. Liaising with Residents Associations and other similar community organisations to promote Neighbourhood Watch in areas of low participation and areas with high crime.
4. Increase the number of Neighbourhood Watch Representatives and those with e-mail.
